A portion of the proceeds from every stay goes to support our Non-Profit organization, Fresh Start Durham.
We started Fresh Start Durham to provide free showers, laundry, and most importantly dignity, to those in need in the city of Durham.
A daily shower and clean clothes are something that the majority of people in the United States take for granted. Most people don’t even think about their ability to have running hot water and put on clean clothes when they wake up in the morning and start their day. For people without these most basic needs, it has a devastating effect on their pride, dignity, and the ability to make a change in their current life’s situation. We aim to change that with Fresh Start Durham.
Fresh Start Durham, a 501c3 nonprofit, provides assistance and support to the men, women, and children in our community that need a helping hand. We have set out to use homes in our community to generate income, and utilize this income to create opportunities to make a difference in people’s everyday lives.
Staying in one of our homes ensures that free showers, free laundry, dignity, and respect will be continued to be provided to those men, women, and children that need a break on their way to a Fresh Start in life. We appreciate you learning more about our WHY and look forward to making your stay with us as memorable as possible.
